Success on the green...
The men finished as runners-up in the Northumberland Challenge Cup (16 July).  The club has never won the Cup since its inception in 1932, so this was "as close as it gets".  For now...

Our ladies' fours are going to Leamington to represent the County in the national finals, and two of the team will be there also playing in singles competitions.   For more detail see our Match Reports ("Don't Give Up").

... and off the green
We have been successful in a bid for funds to purchase a number of sets of bowls, to encourage young people to take up the sport.  This project is in conjunction with Sport Northumberland, as is our work with the Gateway project for people with disabilities.

Coloured bowls The Club plays in three local leagues with men's, ladies' and mixed teams, as well as enjoying several informal sessions each week.  We also play about 18 friendly matches each year, against a wide range of neighbouring clubs.   Check out our full schedule .
